Association Compensation Reaching New Highs

The once exclusive million dollar club of association executives jumped by 29 percent to 48 CEOs, according to National Journals recently released compensation survey. Released this week, the popular biennial salary survey reports on the salaries and compensation of 597 associations, interest groups, think tanks, and labor unions based on IRS and Labor Department filings. Since the journals last survey in 2004, compensation, not including benefits and allowances, increased by 25 percent.
